Why Are Branches Turning Brown On My Peach Tree?

I bought a house last summer and inherited a peach tree. I have very limited knowledge of fruit trees or how to care for them. This spring, my tree had an absolute bumper crop of peaches and I was so excited! However, entire portions of branches are turning brown and the fruit is withering. Can you please give me some guidance on what to do?
