Have noticed a small white worm, whilst digging my allotment. It's smooth and slow moving, approx. 2 cm long and 2-3 mm in width. I am clueless as to whether it is a pest or beneficial. Any idea what it might be please?

These could be anything from grubs to whitefly larvae, or even garden symphylans (which is generally more common).
