White Phal Orchid

Question

My phal has been blooming over and over for several months. I was away for a few days, coming home to find that all the blooms on the floor. The very tip of the stem is a brown color, looking dry. I watered before leaving and it is my regular routine. I also have many air roots that I was planning to repot after flowering stopped. As per instructions, soaking roots in water to soften then ushering an orchid mix. Is my phal dying?

I don’t think the plant is dying. It just sounds like typical bloom loss after a long period of being in bloom. Usually the spent blooms drop one at a time, but obviously on some occasions, they drop at the same time. I wouldn’t cut the bloom spike immediately. Sometimes, the primary spike will send up secondary and tertiary spikes, then Kiki’s could also develop on the spike. You can cut the spike at the point where it is dead and dry. After you are positive the spike is no longer viable, it’s time to repot the orchid.
