White Fig Tree

I have a small white fig tree, about a foot long, and it had two small branches that have broken off during the winter. The tree has an open vase on the top and it is sprouting from the ground and the base of the tree. Should I prune it all the way to the base or just let it grow? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

It depends. Figs will grow in a bush like or a tree like form, depending how you prune them. If you don’t mind a bush form, then you can leave them. If you want a tree form, it is best to remove the sucker growth at the base.
