Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI found a white feathery substance on our lawn this morning. Looking at several neighbors’ yards, I see that they have it also. I have never seen it before. The blades seem to be dying from the top down. It is not all over the yard, only in patches and some are quite extensive. Is it dangerous for the lawn? Please offer a solution.

It sounds like some type of fungus, though pinpointing the exact type may be diffcult as there are many. You will need to use a fungicide on it. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/lawn-care/lgen/grass-fungus.htm [1]
