Q.white bird of paradise damaged by frost (in Florida)
Is it OK to prune the frost damaged leaves of my plants — they are at least 7-8 feet tall, most of the leaves have been hit by frost and are brown and ragged….the trunks of the plants look fine with no damage to them….should I fertilize them his spring??

Do not trim these until there is no more threat of frost. Make sure that you see signs of new growth before you cut off the old growth. This will ensure that the plant survives.
