Which Plant Marker is better

Question

Which is better – metal or wood? I use metal markers to identify plants in my garden. I like metal-made markers and engravings. Can I use wooden markers in the garden? Actually, I’m in a little confused to choose between these. Please advise me.

I myself am always checking the garden centers for plant tag markers and always looking for a good option.

Metal tags do seem to last longer. I love the look of wood but they generally only last one season. Plastic labels can be used for several years and I like to write on them with a permanent marker that is made for laundry. It holds up well in the water and sunshine.
