Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI just read your article “Fig Tree Care in Winter – Fig Tree Winter Protection and Storage” and I see that my plan to overwinter my 3 fig trees in my office is not recommended (18-22 degrees C.).
My two other choices are the completely dark root cellar, which varies between 4 and 12 degrees C. or the basement entrance staircase which has two windows (but is not that well lit) and is kept at 8-10 degrees C.
Which one would you recommend?

I would go with the basement staircase since the temperature is more consistent. The light isn't so important since there are no leaves for photosynthesis.
