Where would I find a giant maple tree?

I found a very large maple leaf and I don’t think it came from any where local. I am in Morgan Hill, CA.

Big Leaf Maple is native to the entire Pacific coast and finding one in northern California is not unusual. In fact, you could probably grow one very easily there. Here's an article, in case you decide to plant one:
