Q.Where do you plant the male Kiwi
Information and diagrams show how to support the female kiwi, but does the male get its own support next to it? Can it be planted at the end of the support with the female at the other end growing toward it? How close does the male have to be? I started pruning incorrectly years ago and have started cuttings from both male and female. I would like to plant these about 15 – 20 feet from the older plants, but don’t think I have room for a second male.
They should be planted 10 to 18 feet apart.
