when to plant edible weeds in Southern CA

Question

I want to grow purslane, lambs quarters and dandelion greens–none of which are in my garden currently. I am assuming that I will need seeds and then I want to know when I can plant these.

The best time to plant these would be in very early spring. Just be mindful that these can become invasive in your area. The best way to combat this would be to plant in container.
