Q.When to plant

Zone 7 | davidsgirl66 added on January 8, 2012 | Answered

I live in Oklahoma. When can I start to plant flowers? I want to start them indoors, like hollyhocks and carnations, etc. I have downloaded garden plans and want to build some raised flower beds. When is the time to plant?

In Zone 7 (where I'm from), we typically begin planting outdoors around mid-May. Therefore, you will want to start your plants indoors about 6-8 weeks prior to this date.
