Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a few pepper plants that I planted later in the season but are producing peppers! However, the card shows the peppers as being red and orange, and mine are green, but HUGE! The biggest pepper is probably 5-6″ long and maybe an inch – 1.5″ diameter and seems to have stopped growing, but it’s still green! Should I leave it to turn red/orange or pick it?

You can pick it now, but it may be a little on the bitter side. It will turn colors on its own, and you can pick it a little early if you intend to store it for a few days before using. It is always best to allow it to ripen for the best flavor, though.
