When to harvest my pineapple plant

Question

I’m new to growing pineapples and could use some advice. The fruit appears to have stopped growing and the top has started to take off growing larger and larger every week. The plant was a gift so I don’t know exactly how old it is . I could really use some advice , thank you.

If it has stopped growing then the pineapple is ready to harvest. Most plants you buy from the store, there fruit doesn't grow to the size of the large ones. It could also be a different type and the fruit will be small.
