Yellow limes are too mature and should be removed from the tree. Limes are normally picked unripe (green) but if left on the tree will ripen to yellow. This article explains more: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/lime/lime-tree-harvest-time-when-to-pick-a-lime-from-a-tree.htm [1]
