When should lime buds be grafted onto a Meyer Lemon tree?

I have a producing Meyer lemon tree. I would like to graft some lime buds onto my tree. When should this be done? Are there any tips that you can give me? I have bud grafted lemon buds to the adult lemon tree in the past.
