When Propagating Forsythia From Cuttings How Long Should They Be Kept In The Plastic Bag? Closed But Open For Air Every Few Days?

6-8 weeks?! I followed all directions but the top of one cutting has turned brown, possibly from contact with the plastic bag.

It's best to leave them in the plastic till new growth forms or a slight tug on the stem indicates it has rooted. You can open the bag every few days for a little while to circulate air.
