Q.When Is The Best Time To Plant A Rose Bush You Propagated Through A Cutting?
I have successfully propagated a rosebush from my late Grandmother’s last rosebush at her house. The house will soon no longer be in the family and keeping this cutting alive (and a few others from the same plant) is a way of keeping her memory alive. Currently, the largest cutting is over two feet tall. When is the best time to plant it? It is September 2nd in Southwest Ohio. Should I bring it inside for the winter? Or should I plant it now?

You still have at least six weeks before freezing weather so you could plant it now if you have a place in mind. If you are nervous about it, go ahead and store it in a sheltered place like the garage or basement for the winter, watering lightly about once a month so it doesn't rot. Then plant in spring, which will give it a whole season to acclimate.
