Most blackberries will be pruned twice per year. The large pruning will be done during late summer to winter, or as the growth slows down for the year. The smaller tip pruning will be done in Spring to mid flowering, to promote better fruiting.

Blueberries are best pruned during dormancy, or early Spring at the very latest.
