when do hardy hibiscus come back

I planted my hardy hibiscus last year and so far still nothing coming up, so when do they come up? Also, it’s in a pot not in the ground.

Was the pot wintered over inside or outside?

With the severe winter that we had it's possible your plant did not survive.
