Q.When Can I Put My House Plants Outside For The Summer? I Live In Zone 6b (Boston). Thank You In Advance.
Succulents, small trees, flowering plants, the usuals. Nothing fancy but I like to get them outside for about 4 months of the year in a protected spot. All generally do very nicely. We also put out about 20 of our 2000+ book collection.

When nighttime temperatures are consistently in the 50s it is usually safe to move houseplants out. Be sure to acclimate them to more light. Keep them in dappled shade for a few days. Depending on the varieties, none may need full sun. If you have tropicals, you might wait till nighttime temps are in the 60s.
