Q.When Can I Forage In My Garden Again? Strong Pesticides Used On Japanese Knotweed
When can I forage in my back garden again? Three years ago strong pesticides were injected into the roots of the Japanese Knotweed near my fence by my new Neighbour. Neighbours Knotweed was coming into our garden from theirs. Not their fault. The Banks in the UK and Media scare people into getting rid of this plant by devaluing our properties. Oxford Bio told me I could not longer use my Japanese Knotweed for organic soap making. Sadly, in the UK British people are told that Japanese Knotweed is the worse plant ever. I used to put this plant in my daily smoothie from my garden. Thanks to this plant (Japanese Knotweed) and organic fruit and veg, I am now Asthma free. When pesticides were used near the garden, I had a serious Asthma attack. And nearly ended up in hospital. I cannot believe the UK is promoting pesticides in a Pandemic that hits the lungs. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21368619 Here is proof that Japanese Knotweed is easy to control. I was mis-sold on this house. Japanese Knotweed is the only good thing about this property. Lived here 17 years, and it is nowhere near the house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIJavqXRHF8 I have made Japanese Knotweed Soap, Face oil (Resveratrol), Paper, Wine, and even put the JK stems in my Distiller to filter the water. Overseas they are making Japanese Knotweed paper and saving trees: https://notweedpaper.com In Canada they are growing Japanese Knotweed for herbal medicine. Resveratrol: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23742076 I would love your support so I can forage in my once organic garden again. The Japanese Knotweed has got rid of the phlegm on my lungs. I add it to my daughters and my smoothie daily. My herbalist friend sent me some from the USA. This is when I could no longer use my own Knotweed. Kind wishes, Sharon J. Typically, after a year, the soil will be deemed safe for planting from the harshest of herbicides. Unfortunately, in some areas the plant can become invasive and destroy native plant live. Some areas are strict since these areas are most prone to its destructive habit. This can be offset by growing it in containers, and indoors.
