Annual pruning of roses is done in early spring just before leaves appear. (leaf buds visibly swell) There are videos on pruning fruit trees and roses. It’s a good idea to review several as I’ve seen videos that were sketchy in the advice given. The links below are to articles on rose pruning and cherry trees.
