Weeping fig

I have a weeping fig. It’s almost 12 years old. It’s always been indoors. And has grown a lot. But now I can see little white knobs on the roots of every leaf. I am sure it is not a pest because it’s not moving and it’s always on the same place on every leaf. It looks like a small piece of latex. Is that possible? And do I have to treat it with something? Thank you.
