My plant is in good health but I don’t want to shock it! Thanks for help.

This depends. If it is the true Pachira Money Tree, then pruning should be avoided, unless you are taking damaged branches out.

If this is a Schefflera, which is, also, called the Money Tree, then pruning can be done regularly.
