Q.What Would Cause The Vine To Be Stripped Down To Its Branches?
I’ve grown this vine for many years using seeds from previous years. At one point I had to buy seeds because I misplaced the seeds I saved. Last year I used a combination of the previous years purchased and saved seeds. Right about the time the vine was to be in it’s full glory, the leaves appeared to have large bites out of them. I sprayed for insects to no avail. The damage continued to where it looked as if the vine was being stripped right down to its branches. The branches themselves looked as though they were being almost splintered. What could be the cause and solution. I want to be prepared for this year.
