Q.What Would Be The Result Of Creating A Fusion Tree (or Bonsai) Where A Single Live Trunk Is Of One Species Completely Surrounded B
y trunks/seedlings of another species of the same genus? Ex. A single living grapefruit trunk/whip completely surrounded by orange trunks/whips. Will the grapefruit trunk swell and eventually create grapefruit-bark lenticels through the orange bark or will only grapefruit branches pierce through the orange bark?

Likely, the stronger species will kill off the remaining trees in the area. At the end, the strongest one or few of the remaining trees will be left, but I wouldn't expect much cooperation.
If you want them to grow together, like that, you might try grafting! This is a good way to get trees to "play nice" together, since there won't be roots to get in each other's way.
Here are some articles with other articles within, that will help:

I am talking about TRUNK FUSION (in my question): single centre grapefruit trunk or seedling tightly and completely 360° fused by orange trunks or seedlings. The result: 1). thick orange tree w/grapefruit branches emerging? 2). periodic grapefruit bark lenticels showing through the orange trunk? 3). And/or ..... what can I expect to happen? This is a bonsai fusion project.
