Q.What winter care do tree ferns need? Should they be cut back or wrapped up?
My tree fern is getting buffeted by strong winds and looks like it needs cutting back or protection

A little research tells us that you may want to mulch the crown of the fern (protect growing points) with loose straw. Then draw the fronds straight up, securing them with twine. Sink 4 stakes about as tall as the trunk close to the trunk, then wrap it with burlap or bubble wrap. Secure with twine. Remove when warmer weather resumes. Best of luck with this.
