What vegetable plants can I grow so that monkeys will not eat them?

I don’t think that there are any specific vegetables you can grow that will keep the monkeys from getting them. Rather, you should take steps to deter the monkeys from eating what you do have planted.

Fences are the most common deterrent and for monkeys you would need one that has a ceiling. Chicken wire is a common fencing material for this. It would almost be like you are building a chicken coop for your plants. You can either build one that encircles your whole garden or you can build individual cages for each plant that can be lifted off when you need to harvest.

Another option is to use motion detectors rigged to a sprinkler system of some kind. You can water and scare the monkeys off at the same time.

A very common deterrent is to cover the plants in pepper spray so that if the monkeys try to eat the plants, they will burn their tongues.

Another method to try would be predator urea. I am not certain what the predators of your monkeys are but you may find that a local nursery sells the urea and this can be placed around the area. If monkeys in your area are shy of humans, human urea may also work.

Fishing line is something that we use here for deer (which are likely as much a pest as your monkeys). We set up fishing line barriers around the garden and, because the deer cannot see the line, they get frustrated with continually running into it and leave the garden alone.
