What Variety Of Elderberry Is This?

Question

These are growing around 5000′ in the central Cascade range in Washington state. What struck me as odd is they were developing buds in October. The berries are very dark and do not have the light blue powder all the others have.

It looks like the native species variety, but there are so many ornamental types these days, I couldn't pinpoint a variety name.
