Q.what type of japanesse maple do i have?
I have one that is about 30 ft. high, round in shape. The leaves are 7 points, are serrated, about 3-3 1/2 inches, green and maroon, turning maroon in summer, and for a short period in the fall they turn a beautiful burnt orange. It grew fairly quickly, then remained that size. It is about 30 years old.
I'm sorry but I would not be able to identify your tree.
While nobody knows how many different Japanese Maples exist, there are there are over 700 cultivators in circulation.
No matter what the species your trees sounds like a stunning statement in your garden.
