Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in St Leonard’s,
and my front garden which I am developing, is very exposed to some winds.
I would like to grow a hedge of about 2 meters max, which could act as a shelter and give me privacy. I would like it to have dense growth, be evergreen, wind resistance and easy to keep shaped.
I thought Laurel Etna would be good but I became concerned about the berries as we are on a public footpath which is used by a lot of children. Griselinia was also a possibility, but I’m not sure if it’s density. I love Yew but I don’t think it makes for a good coastal hedge.
Can you make any recommendation?
