What Tree To Buy

Question

Hello, I am a gardening novice and have just bought a new home with two large gardens which I dont know what to do with. Specifically I would like advice about what type of tree to buy for screening. I have a 2m fence and would like a single evergreen tree that will cover up the space above the fence to block my neighbours view of my garden. Ideally a tree that is large enough to block the view from a first floor window but not much taller than that. Also I would prefer if it has a trunk to about 1.5m-2m and then the branches above this I live in Scotland and it is regularly -8 degrees in winter so it needs to be something hardy. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
