What to Plant in Small Garden with Purple Coneflowers

I have a small garden containing about a dozen purple coneflowers and would like to know what other flowers would work well there.

Coneflowers are fairly drought tolerant and plants with similar needs would work well with them. A few that come to mind include coreopsis, liatris, sedum, black-eyed susan, lavender, sage and thyme.
