Q.What To Harvest For Dyes
You have lots of details but no info on which part of the plants to use for the dye……leaves, blooms (active or past prime), roots and when they should be harvested for best color properties, etc. Only for the Madder plant did you note how old the plants should be. Sigh. I have been trying some eco dyeing with not a lot of luck LOL. You might also know which are strong colors and which are weak…for instance red cabbage yielded a pale pale lavender color and it absorbed all the hibiscus, purple gladiolus and chamomile imprints…wont try that again LOL
