Q.What To Grow With Roses.

Zone Co clare. Ireland. | Anonymous added on May 9, 2021 | Answered

I’ve a beautiful climbing yellow flower on a very wide trellis and wish to grow if possible a blue flowering plant. What one do you recommended if any. A blue rose would be perfect and I had some along my back fence when I lived in Scotland but finding it impossible to get a blue climbing rose here. Thanks for any advice.

Perhaps one of the blue flowering Geraniums would meet the need. They are typically less invasive than other plants. Roses do not like a lot of competition for their nutrition or water, so I would space the companion plants out well.
