Q.What To Do With Shrubs/grasses Grown In Autumn When I Want To Plant Bulbs In Spring?
I am very new to gardening and I\’ve just put soil improver in and I\’m planning to plant some shrubs/grasses to look nice over autumn and winter. I\’d really like to plant bulbs in Feb/March time but will the shrubs/grasses just die and then I can\’t plant the bulbs, or do I need to dig them up and do something with them? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I\’m very new to this!

As long as you are planting things that survive in your area, then shrubs and grasses are, usually, perennial. They will come back each year.
You can plant bulbs between and among them, though. The time that you plant, Spring or Autumn, will be determined by the particular bulbs that you choose.
