What To Do With My Rosemary Hedge Plants?

my rosemary hedge plants are 3 yrs old and good sturdy bark branches that are separating the whole plants, leaving them bare in the center. Help! I’m wondering if I should cut them back to the ground and allow starting over or just dig them up and plant new rosemary plants.

I find that as they age in my Texas garden, they do not look as they once used to look like so I prune regularly but have not replaced them yet. I do get cuttings and plant them elsewhere too or give it to friends. I do not make hedges with them though.
