Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI over wintered my cannas out of the pot wrapped in paper in the garage last winter. I brought them in the house and planted them in pots in a bright sunny window. They didn’t sprout. Should I dig them up and try again next year? Or are they a lost cause?

In zone 7a, your cannas should come back when left planted in the garden. (pot may be too cold, however). They are probably a lost cause, but I would go ahead and plant them in the yard just in case they decide to sprout.
