What to do with cabbage flowers

Zone East vale, Ca 92880 | Bill G added on March 5, 2016 | Answered

I have two cabbage plants from last year that have grown flowers, as shown on the attached photo. Can you tell me what can I do with it? This is the first time I have grown cabbage. Will it produce cabbage, seeds or it is just ornamental? Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you, Bill Gorajia

A Cabbage that has bolted will send out flowers, these flowers will eventually become seeds.
Your existing plant will not produce a Cabbage head any longer, you will need to start out with new plants.
