What temperature should the hibiscus be planted?

It depends on the variety and where you live. Tropical hibiscus can survive year round outside if the temperature does not go below 40 F. Hardy hibiscus can survive outside year round nearly anywhere, but I would wait to plant until it's at least 60 F outside. If you have a tropical type, a container would be best for planting to bring inside for winter.
