Q.What should I do with my garden?
The garden has a slop in the middle, shrubs and 3 apple trees. I want to keep the trees but im not bothered about anything else.
The garden needs to be used by adults, children and a dog.
Well the children and dog especially, and maybe the adults too would enjoy a good lawn area. That might mean revitalizing the grass that is there and maybe taking out the monster hedge row in the middle, leveling and enlarging the lawn area into where the hedge is now.
It looks like you lost a tree, so maybe there is more room for another fruit tree or two. How about losing the sheared shrubs along the fence and planting some berries or pole beans or climbing roses instead.
Leave the walk and arch as an entry to the home orchard area.
Maybe there is space for a couple of vegetable garden raised beds on that far side of the yard. You can start some veggies from seed inside the glass house and have your beds ready for planting when the weather warms up in early spring.
That's just my two cents or pence off the top of my head. Hope that starts you thinking and planting and enjoying your garden with your family.
