Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comBought some lillies (bulbs) at a local “friends of library”sale. Put them in 1 gal pots but never got around to putting them in the ground. Now frost is approaching (I’m in 5b). Any ideas on how to proceed for the winter? Note, leaves have been up all summer and are still up and healthy now. Thanks for any help you can give. P.S. Have a cool room, never below 45 degrees, where I overwinter geraniums and this has worked well for me. P.P.S. Love your site!

You could either plant the pots in the ground or move them to a cool location such as garage, unheated basement, or shed. Your cool room might be a little warm. They do need cold treatment.
Lilies are generally hardy to about zone 3, but in a container they have little protection.
