What other plants or bushes go well with a crepe myrtle?

Most drought tolerant plants will do well with a crepe myrtle. When planting under a tree of any kind, you need to keep in mind that trees often use up much of the available water under it, so you just want plants that can deal ok with that. Daylilies, echinacea, and black eyed susans are examples of plants like that, but there are many others.
