Q.What Now For All My Feverfew?

Zone 6a | Johnmwheatley@yahoo.com added on July 3, 2023 | Answered

Throughout my gardens I have “nearly spent” perhaps 50 Feverfew plants. They range from 18” to 36” in height depending upon the hours of sunlight received in each location. Do I dead-head? Let me go to seed? Or cut them back in hopes of a second round of blooms?

After feverfew plants are done flowering in zone 6, it is recommended to deadhead the flowers by removing the spent blooms. This will encourage the plant to produce more flowers and prevent it from self-seeding. Additionally, you can trim back the plant to promote bushier growth and prevent it from becoming leggy. It is also important to provide regular watering and fertilization to keep the plant healthy.
