Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe bought a house last spring with an amazing garden! I have 2 maple trees that now have yellow berry clusters, or seed clusters from fall and now in winter. I want to know which variety of maple these trees are and more about the berry clusters.
Thanks in advance!

I wonder if you have a hawthorn tree. Hawthorn leaves are smaller than maple but there are similarities in shape. There are no true maple trees that produce berries. Maple seeds are produced in spring and are called samara. Can you put up a new post with a picture? There are several shrubs that have “maple-like” leaves. One is mapleleaf viburnum. It has bright red berries in fall that may darken as winter progresses. It may have been trained to have a central trunk instead of its usual multi-stem base. I truly hope you can post a picture: I’m curious!

Here are pictures I took today, sorry no leaves but they looked like common maple leaves spring and summer.
