What Kind of Weeds Have Little Thorns in Lawns

I’m trying to find out what the weed is called that has small thorns on it and spreads very fast in a yard. I would also like to know how to get rid of it. We call them stickers because they get in your feet and hurt really bad and stick in the bottom of shoes.
