What kind of oak tree sheds its leaves in the fall in Minnesota?

I’ve seen several different varieties of oak trees in the neighborhood I moved into and I can identify a pin oak and it holds its leaves all winter, which to me is beneficial. However, I have seen some trees which shed their leaves this time of year, which I do not like.

Some Oak trees will drop a few leaves in the fall, but most drop their leaves in the spring right before the new leaves emerge.
