What kind of flower is this?

We have a red and white perennial flower that we planted in our front yard several years ago. It shows itself every spring and we think it is beautiful however we don’t know the name of it. I am confident you will. We wish it would bloom more than once a year however we live in Texas and am not sure if that is possible. Attached is a photo of the flower. Can you tell me what the name of this flower? It’s common name would also be appreciated.
