Q.What Kind Of Bush Or Small Tree Is This?

Zone Sarasota, FL. 34232 | Anonymous added on November 23, 2020 | Answered

It as small round balls on it that look like limes to start then change to orange color. I cut one open and it smells like an orange. It has stickers on the branches. Is this fruit editable?

It looks like a kumquat tree. For a definite identification, I suggest taking a branch up to the local cooperative extension service or a plant nursery. With the many look-a-like plants, they would know what is commonly growing in your area and could give you a safe answer.
